A license is good through to the next major version(1.0 -> 1.9), then you must purchase an upgrade. A single user upgrade is $5 (US) and a site upgrade is $199 (US).

The unpaid version is fully functional but has one limitation: only one file can be sent per session, then you must restart the application on both computers and reconnect.
